Pitt Staff Visits New York Basketball Powerhouse

Pitt is now ranked No. 12 in the NET rankings after the loss to Mississippi State. The Bulldogs are ranked No. 10 in the country, up 16 spots.

The Pitt basketball staff has been on the move as of late, visiting high-school basketball prospects and hosting transfer portal players.

In the latest high-school recruiting news, a member of the Pitt staff was in New York visiting Stepinac, one of the best basketball schools in the Northeast.

Pitt was one of many programs represented at Stepinac on Thursday. The full list, according to the school’s twitter account, follows: Alabama, NC State, St. Bonaventure, Iona, Boston University, Oral Roberts, Pitt, Illinois, Yale, Manhattan, Brown, Arkansas, Creighton, UConn, Stetson, Texas, Louisville, Michigan, Boston College, Northwestern, UMass, Rutgers, Quinnipiac, Fordham, Saint John’s, Columbia, and Hofstra.

Stepinac has three different players listed in the top-110 of the 247 Sports 2026 high-school basketball prospect rankings. Jasiah Jervis is ranked No. 109 inb the nation. He is a 6-foot-4, 180-pound wing. Adonis Ratliff is ranked No. 63, and he is a 6-foot-11 big. Lastly, the highest-ranked of the bunch is Darius Ratliff, a 6-foot-11 big.

Pitt does not have any commitments locked up in the class of 2026. The Panthers brought in just one high-school player in the class of 2025, adding Omari Witherspoon out of Washington, D.C. to the roster for this upcoming season.

In other HS recruiting news, Pitt was reportedly in for the No. 1 player in PA on Monday, Luca Foster.

Foster is a 6-foot-5 wing prospect in the class of 2026 out of Archbishop John Carroll in Wayne, Pennsylvania. Foster took a visit to Pitt this past season.

Foster is ranked as the No. 1 player in Pennsylvania and the No. 33 player in the nation in the class of 2026 according to 247 Sports’ Rankings.
