Which Undrafted Pitt Players Received Rookie Camp Invites?

Pitt football had three players selected during the 2025 NFL Draft and three more signed in the following hours after the draft concluded.
However, a handful of other Panthers are looking to break into the league and a few are getting that opportunity with different minicamp invites.
Safety P.J. O’Brien has received an invite from the next-door neighbor Pittsburgh Steelers to the organizations’ rookie minicamp.
The 6-foot, 185-pound Pompano Beach, Fla. native played in all 13 games this past fall as a senior with 33 tackles, one interception, one fumble recovery and two pass breakups. Across his Pitt career, he appeared in 49 games as he compiled 103 total tackles and four interceptions.
Defensive end Nate Matlack was another Panther invited by the Steelers to participate in their rookie minicamp. He was also invited to the Kansas City Chiefs’ camp as well, according to Joseph Potts.
Matlack, a 6-foot-5, 250-pound talent from Olathe Kan., transferred to Pitt from Kansas State and in his lone season with the Panthers, he registered 22 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, five sacks, three pass breakups and a forced fumble in 13 starts.
Offensive lineman Jason Collier Jr. received invites to the Kansas City Chiefs and New York Giants’ camps, per Aaron Wilson of KPRC2.
The 6-6, 320-pounder spent six years at Pitt. He originally joined the program as a tight end, but made the switch to offensive line in 2020. Across his final four years, he played in 49 games with nine starts primarily at guard.
Pitt continues to produce NFL talent as both offensive lineman Branson Taylor (Los Angeles Chargers) and tight end Gavin Bartholomew (Minnesota Vikings) heard their names called in the sixth round of the draft. Wide receiver Konata Mumpfield (Los Angeles Rams) was not too far behind in the seventh round.
Safety Donovan McMillon signed with the Cleveland Browns, kicker Ben Sauls agreed to terms with the Steelers and linebacker Brandon George signed as an undrafted free agent with the Chiefs.
