The Pitt football coaching staff wrapped up their first big in-person recruiting week of 2025.
As was the case all week, the coaching staff was scattered around the East Coast making in-person visits in which they met with, or extended scholarship offers to players in various recruiting classes.
After a day or two off, the in-person recruiting will continue next week for Pitt.
Here’s a look at the Pitt headlines from Friday.
FRIDAY’S PITT RECRUITING NEWS AND NOTES:
*Pitt extends an offer to 8th grade athlete Cameron Tooley from Orlando, Florida. Tooley (6’3″, 190-pounds) holds early offers from Central Florida and Sacramento State.

*Pitt TE coach Jacob Bronowski made an in-person visit to see 2026 3-star tight end Preston Fryzel from Central Catholic in Toledo, Ohio. Bronowski also was back in the evening to see Fryzel’s game. Along with Pitt, Fryzel holds offers from Cincinnati, Duke, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan State, Minnesota, North Carolina, Northwestern, Rutgers, South Florida, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
*Pitt extended an offer to 2026 3-star offensive tackle Jaden Johnson from Lovejoy High School in Hampton, Georgia. Johnson (6’6″, 310-pounds) holds offers from Georgia Tech and Maryland.

*Pitt OC Kade Bell and WR coach JJ Laster made an in person visit to 2026 4-star Larry Miles from Winter Garden, Florida. Miami, Fla. is considered the leader for Miles, but Pitt isn’t giving up. Along with Pitt and Miami, Miles holds offers from Boston College, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Kansas State, Kentucky, Louisville, Syracuse, Wisconsin, Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa, Iowa State, Maryland, Michigan State, Ole Miss, Missouri, North Carolina, Purdue, Central Florida, Wake Forest and West Virginia.
*Pitt extends an offer to 2028 defensive end Steven Moore from Miami Central High School in Miami, Florida. Despite being only a freshman, Moore (6’1″, 215-pounds) holds 20+ offers including from programs such as Arizona State, Auburn, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Miami Fla., Nebraska, SMU, Missouri, Syracuse and West Virginia.

*Pitt’s OL coach Jeremy Darveau extends an offer to 2026 3-star offensive tackle Courtney Heard from East Coweta High School in Sharpsburg, Georgia. Heard (6’6″, 290-pounds) has an offer list that includes Auburn, Colorado State, East Carolina, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Marshall, Maryland, Miami Fla., South Florida, Texas A&M, Central Florida, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.

*Pitt also extended an offer to Courtney Heard’s brother, Courtlin, who is a 6’7″, 330-pound junior offensive tackle. Courtlin holds offers from Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Maryland, Miami, Texas A&M, Central Florida, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.

*Pitt’s Jacob Bronowski extended an offer to 2026 tight end Nick Lautar from Lebanon, Ohio. Along with Pitt, Lautar (6’5″, 220-pounds) holds offers from Akron, Army, Cincinnati, Eastern Michigan, Kent State, Navy, Northwestern, Penn, Rutgers, Ohio U., Toledo, Tulane and Western Michigan.
