Kicking in Acrisure Stadium as a college player has its advantages and Pitt’s Ben Sauls was the latest example of that as he’s now off to the NFL after signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

That’s one of the many reasons why a Pitt offer for the No. 1 kicker in the Class of 2026 and WPIAL product Harran Zureikat holds so much weight.

The Fox Chapel High School junior picked up an offer from Pitt special teams coordinator Jacob Bronowski on Saturday.

“It truly means a lot being offered by my hometown team,” Zureikat told Pittsburgh Sports Now. “Getting this opportunity to play in the stadium just 20 minutes from my home is honestly euphoric to me. Needless to say it’s one of if not the greatest stadium in the world.”

Zureikat is a five-star prospect and ranks as the top kicker and second-best punter in the 2026 cycle, according to the Kohls Kicking rankings.

A bond has been building between Zureikat and Bronowski for some time now. Zureikat attended a specialist camp at Pitt last June and then returned for a gameday visit against Clemson as he continued to connect with the Pitt assistant.

“My relationship with Coach Bronowski started last summer and it has been great ever since. Coach Bronowski is a great coach let alone a great guy. He helps me not only with the recruiting process but also is able to give me great tips on how to be a better specialist myself,” Zureikat said.

The nearby prospect made the trip down to the South Side facility recently to take in a spring visit to get another in-depth look at the program.

“The most recent visit I had at Pitt was a few weeks ago at one of their spring practices. Visits always go great as everyone there makes you feel wanted and welcome. It was really cool to see what a player’s life is like on a regular practice day. The practice was a very cool and unique experience to have and it was fun watching the players train with such intensity,” he said.

Pitt joins Syracuse, Boston College, Maryland and Akron to offer top kicker in the country. He has upcoming official visits with Boston College (May 30) and Syracuse (June 13-15). Zureikat further tells PSN that he plans on setting up one with Pitt.

Recently, Zureikat competed at the Hammer Kicking Academy camp in Pittsburgh where he won both the field goal and punting competitions with a 61-yard field goal and 60 yard punt with a 4.9 hang time.
