We are one step closer to the 2025-26 college basketball season.

As teams begin to fill out their schedules for next season, one of the local teams has finalized a few games already, according to a report over the weekend.

According to a report by national basketball analyst Rocco Miller, Duquesne will compete in a four-team MTE along with Villanova, Queens, and Sacred Heart. Villanova will host all three of the other teams. In addition, Miller says that the Dukes will host both Queens and Sacred Heart as part of the event.

The event will take place in “early to mid-November,” per Miller.

Duquesne returns several players from last year’s squad, including Jake DiMichele, David Dixon, and Cam Crawford. Duquesne has also brought in College of Charleston transfer Stef Van Bussel, Xavier transfer John Hugley, as well as former South Florida guard Jimmie Williams out of the transfer portal this spring.

With the recent addition of Hugley, the Dukes front court became crowded with Hugley, Eli Wilborn, David Dixon, Alex Williams, Chabi Barre and Jakub Necas. Barre also entered the portal, and eventually committed to Akron. Wilborn entered the portal, and eventually committed to James Madison.
