Recapping a Big Pitt Recruiting Day with Sweeping Offers in Texas

Like they were last week, members of the Pitt football coaching staff were out on the road recruiting, which resulted in a ton of offers being extended.

Also similar to last week was the fact that a number of players offered were from the state of Texas.

We’ve mentioned this a number of times over the last year but it’s becoming more and more evident that there’s a huge emphasis Pitt is putting on trying to get talent from Texas.

Florida is still Pitt’s top recruiting territory, but Texas is quickly rising into Pitt’s top three or four.

Here’s a recap of the activity that took place on Tuesday:

**Pitt extends an offer to freshman DE/OLB Judah Blair from West Chester Ohio. Blair holds early offers from Maryland, Purdue, Miami of Ohio and Toledo.

**Pitt offers 2027 defensive end DJ Rumph from DeSoto, Texas. Rumph (6’2″, 215-pounds) holds offers from SMU, Central Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Michigan and USC.

**Pitt DL coach Tim Daoust extends an offer to 2027 defensive tackle Jaderian Jones from South Oak Cliff High School in Dallas, Texas. Jones (6’2″, 300-pounds) holds Power 4 offers from Miami, Arizona State, Kansas State, Notre Dame, SMU, Texas A&M and Texas Tech.

**Pitt’s Jacob Bronowski extended an offer to 2027 4-star DT K’Adrian Redmond from DeSoto, Texas. Redmond holds Power Four offers from Notre Dame, Baylor, California, Houston, Kansas State, SMU, TCU, Texas, Texas Tech, Texas A&M. 247 Sports rates Redmon as one of the Top 10 defensive tackles in the Class of 2027.

**Pitt’s Jacob Bronowski extended an offer to 2027 WR/RB SaRod Baker from DeSoto, Texas. This becomes the first Power Four offer for Baker.

**Pitt’s Jacob Bronowski extended an offer to 2027 5-star running back Myson Johnson-Cook from DeSoto, Texas. Johnson-Cook is rated as the No. 1 athlete in the Class of 2027 and holds over 40 D-1 offers.

**Pitt’s Kade Bell extended an offer to 2027 quarterback William Jackson from Orlando, Florida. Jackson (6’4″, 180-pounds) holds offers from South Carolina, Virginia Tech, Florida Atlantic, Sacramento State.

**Pitt’s Jacob Bronowski extended an offer to 2027 4-star defensive back Dhillon McGee from Red Oak, Texas. McGee is rated by Rivals as one of the Top 140 overall players in the Class of 2027 with offers from Arizona Arkansas, Baylor, Houston, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Oklahoma State, SMU, TCU, Texas Tech, USC and Wisconsin.

*Pitt’s Jacob Bronowski extended an offer to 2027 defensive tackle Johnnie Fitzgerald III from Red Oak, Texas. Fitzgerald (6’3″, 270-pounds) has other offers from Baylor, SMU, Texas Tech and San Diego State.

*Pitt DC Randy Bates extended an offer to 2026 DL Jarvis Spires from Cypress, Texas. Spires (6’2″, 285-pounds) holds Power 4 offers from Utah and Oklahoma State.

Jac**Pitt DL Coach Tim Daoust extended an offer to 2027 3-star offensive tackle Patrick O’Brien from Cincinnati, Ohio. O’Brien (6’6″, 280-pounds) holds early offers from Kentucky, West Virginia, Miami Ohio and Toledo.

**Pitt’s Jacob Bronowski extended an offer to freshman wide receiver Brendyn Jackson from Midlothian, Texas. Jackson (5’11”, 170-pounds) already holds offers from Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, SMU, Tennessee, Texas Tech and Tulsa.

**Pitt’s Jacob Bronowski extended an offer to 2027 3-star wide receiver Jeremiah Douglas from Crandall, Texas. Douglas (6’0″, 170-pounds) holds 20+ D1 offers including from Arkansas, Baylor, BYU, Houston, Kansas State, Michigan State, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Oklahoma, SMU, TCU, Texas, Texas A&M, USC and Vanderbilt.
