Report: President Trump To Create Commission to Look into NCAA/College Sports

The runaway train that is current day NCAA/college athletics has gotten so bad that the highest office in the country is reportedly going to get involved.
Ross Dellenger, Senior College Football reporter for Yahoo Sports, is reporting that President Donald Trump is making plans to create a presidential commission on college athletics, the possible first step in fixing the current economic system.
Dellenger wrote that, “multiple sources, both in Congress and within college sports, spoke to Yahoo Sports under condition of anonymity as they were not authorized to speak about President Trump’s plan.”
This report comes on the heels of former Alabama head coach Nick Saban stating during a graduation address at the University of Alabama that he and Trump were at, that the president needs to get involved to fix current day college athletics.
Dellenger reports that this commission is expected to feature college sports stakeholders, prominent businesspeople with deep connections to college football, along with a former coach and college administrator.
Things that this newly formed commission could look at include- the frequency of movement of players in the transfer portal, unregulated booster compensation paid to athletes, college athlete employment, conference membership makeup, conference television contracts and the application of Title IX to school revenue-share payments.
The latest national issue in college athletics is the NIL system, which many feel is completely out of whack.
