Updating Pitt’s Basketball Roster After Latest Commitments

Published

on

Now that we are a week into the month of May, I wanted to circle back on the offseason moves so far made by Jeff Capel and his Pitt basketball staff.

Let’s take a look at the roster for the 2025-26 season as of now.

GUARDS

The guard group, at this point, is headlined by Oregon State transfer Damarco Minor. Minor has started 98 games in his college career between SIU-Edwardsville and Oregon State. Last year with the Beavers, he averaged 31.9 minutes per game, scoring 9.8 points per game on 40% shooting from the field. He shot just 28% from three-point range, but had strong passing numbers, dishing out a career-high 5.1 assists per game. The lone returner in the back court is Beebah Cummings, who comes back for his second season.

DAMARCO MINOR – 5TH YEAR

BEEBAH CUMMINGS – SO.

NOJUS INDRUSAITIS – SO. (LISTED AS GUARD ON TEAM SITE)

OMARI WITHERSPOON – FR.

WINGS

The wing group (which may also include Indrusaitis, depending on where Pitt will play him) is led by South Alabama transfer Barry Dunning Jr. who averaged 15.1 points and 7.2 rebounds per game last year. He shot 46% from the field and 31% from three-point range. Prior to his time at South Alabama, Dunning also played for UAB and Arkansas.

BARRY DUNNING JR. – SR.

HENRY CODY LAU – FR. (COMMITTED — NOT OFFICIALLY SIGNED YET)

BIGS

The front court is looking like Pitt’s strongest department this year. Veteran Dishon Jackson brings strength inside along with returners Cam Corhen and Papa Amadou Kante.

DISHON JACKSON – 5TH YEAR

CAM CORHEN – SR.

PAPA AMADOU KANTE – RS SO.

AMDY NDIAYE – SO.

KIERAN MULLEN – FR. (will redshirt his freshman season, according to a report by Joe Tipton)

WALK ONS

BENJAMIN MAYHEW – JR.

JAJUAN NELSON – JR.

PSN’s Mike Vukovcan recently reported that Pitt is expected to land another Australian prospect, too. Check out more on that story here.
