The hidden gem that Pitt football, and more specifically Kade Bell and JJ Laster, have identified in 2027 three-star wide receiver commit Jacob Thomas is no longer an under-the-radar recruit. He is well on his way to becoming one of the top receivers in the class.

Since Thomas — a 5-10, 160-pound talent out of Flanagan High School in Florida — committed on March 1, his recruitment has exploded and it reached another level with a major offer from one of the top programs in the country.

Thomas picked up an offer from Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs on Friday to bring his total Division I offers to 20.

The offer also comes a day after both Bell and Laster stopped in to see Thomas in Florida.

Pittsburgh Sports Now checked in with Thomas about the Georgia offer, visiting with the Pitt staff and how he’s approaching his rapidly-growing recruitment.
