Four-star running back Kory Amachree out of Haslett High School in Michigan is a top target for Pitt in the 2026 class.

The 6-1, 205-pound Amachree has narrowed down his recruitment from 38 Division I offers to six schools with Pitt as a finalist. Kansas, Duke, Michigan State, Indiana and Harvard round out the top six.

The Panthers have been in on Amachree for over a year after area recruiter Archie Collins offered last May and he visited during fall camp last year.

Running backs coach Lindsey Lamar has continued the push for the talented running back after visiting him in-person a few weeks ago.

Pitt is trying to get Amachree on campus for an official visit. After some shuffling around, he was expected to visit Pittsburgh this weekend but canceled. A June official could be in the works and a lot more likely.

Amachree has already taken an official visit to Kansas. He will be at Michigan State for one on the weekend of May 30.

During his junior season at Haslett, Amachree amassed 1,394 all-purpose yards with 1,102 coming on the ground, along with 19 touchdowns in six games played.

On3 rates Amachree as a four-star prospect, the No. 22 running back in the class and fourth-best player out of Michigan.

The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine gives Michigan State a 36.8% chance to land Amachree with Indiana at 24.4% and Pitt at 20.9%
