Pitt Pursuing 2026 Wide Receiver from Miami

Despite having received 2026 commitments from two wide receivers, the Pitt coaching staff is still on a hunt to add more.
Over the weekend, Pitt assistants Kade Bell and JJ Laster extended an offer to 2026 wide out CJ Miller from Miami Palmetto High School in Miami, Fla.
Last season, the 6-foot, 175-pound speedster collected 56 catches for over 1,000 yards and eight touchdowns. Currently, Miller holds offers from Boston College, Eastern Michigan, Liberty and Wofford.

“Pitt called my head coach and they let him know that I had an offer,” Miller told Pittsburgh Sports Now. “Then wide receivers coach JJ Laster and coach Kade Bell called me to let me know they I had an offer. Then they explained to me about their school and what they liked about me. They told me that I’m a very polished receiver, they like the way that I get out of my breaks and believe that I’m a player that would really fit in their system with the way I already play. Personally, I take pride in my routes and try and really work on them. I also work on my speed and have a pretty good 40 time. Also, after team practice, I stay after and catch 100 balls, but I really take pride in my routes and my speed.”
“When they told me about the offer, I was very excited and believe that would be a great school for me to play at,” Miller added. “Prior to offering, they came to my school about two weeks prior to that. They came to talk with my head coach and watched my film. After that they said they’d be back in contact with me and obviously they did as they called and offered.”
During their conversation, the Pitt staff also made sure that Miller was familiar with their style of play on offense, which was something that he was very interested in.
“Coach Bell likes to throw the ball,” Miller said. “He likes to get the ball in the fair and get the ball to his receivers. But he also likes to share the ball and share the ball to his running backs.”
Miller has an official visit scheduled to Eastern Michigan, but the Pitt staff seems to have serious interest in furthering their relationship.
“They were telling me that they want to get me up on a visit. Coach Bell also said that he’s going to get back into contact with me and he’s going to come back down to see him. I think that visit is something he’s going to talk about when he comes back down.”
Miller tells PSN that he’s expecting Bell to be down in Miami on Thursday for his teams’ spring game.
Pitt’s Class of 2026 currently includes two wide receivers from Florida three-star Demetrice Mccray (Orlando, Fla.) and three-star Dylan Wester (Sarasota, Fla).
