The Pitt Panthers found out last week that they were a finalist for 2026 four-star running back Kory Amachree.

It was revealed today that they’ll find out fairly soon whether or not their hard working recruiting him has paid off.

This morning, Amachree announced that he’ll be making his decision this Friday at 3 p.m. from Haslett High School. Amachree narrowed his list of 38-plus offers down to six schools and will be choosing between Pitt, Michigan State, Duke, Harvard, Kansas and Indiana.

Led by area recruiter Archie Collins, Pitt has pursued Amachree hard. A few weeks ago, Pitt running backs coach Lindsey Lamar traveled to Michigan for an in-person visit.

This upcoming commitment date seems to wipe out an official visits planned for June. Amachree did officially visit Kansas in May and was scheduled to be in East Lansing at Michigan State.

On3 rates Amachree as a four-star prospect, the No. 22 player in the class and fourth-best player out of Michigan.

247Sports has a Crystal Ball prediction that Amachree lands at Michigan State.
