Pine-Richland 2025 lineman Joshua Nindl has made the decision to commit to Pitt as a PWO.

Nindl becomes the 4th WPIAL player in the last two weeks to commit to Pitt joining 2025 3-star safety John Wetzel (Latrobe), DL Cam Rosinsky (South Fayette) and OL Ty Banco (Washington).

Nindl finished a successful career at Pine-Richland where he was a team captain and started on both the offensive and defensive line.

The 6’2”, 290-pound was voted an 5A Honorable Mention player despite missing 4 games and playing with a cast on his wrist from a scaphoid fracture. This injury prevented Nindl from attending prospect camps last summer, which impacted his visibility with college coaches.

Nindl was receiving varying interest from D-1, D-2 and D-3 programs but in the end, felt the best decision was to stay home and join the Pitt Panthers.

“Well first of all I’m super excited and thankful for the opportunity and ready to get to work,” Nindl tells Pittsburgh Sports Now. “Staying thirty minutes from home at the university my dad is a professor at can’t really be beat by anything.”

“Then you factor in the facilities and the ability to develop under the coaching staff that Pitt has and it made my decision clear. The coaches really emphasized the reward in staying home. They said that there is no better feeling than staying home and I can’t disagree.”
