Where are Pitt’s High-School Commits Ranked?

Pitt lands three-star point guard Macari Moore, a former Iowa State signee.

After spending most of the year with just one high-school player committed (Omari Witherspoon), Pitt’s basketball staff has filled out a four-man high-school recruiting class so far in addition to a four-man transfer class.

Let’s take a look at where each of the Panthers’ high-school prospects are ranked.

OMARI WITHERSPOON – 4 Star – No. 97

Witherspoon is the highest-ranked of the bunch, listed as a four-star prospect on 247 Sports. He is ranked as the No. 97 player in the class of 2025 by 247’s composite rankings. The 6-foot-4 guard comes from St. John’s in Washington, D.C.

MACARI MOORE – 3 star – No. 227

Moore, a 6-foot-3 guard out of Michigan, is ranked as a three-star prospect by 247 Sports. He is the No. 2 player in the state of Michigan and the No. 227 player overall in the class of 2025.

HENRY LAU – Unranked

Lau is not ranked by 247 Sports or any of the major American recruiting sites. The Australian prospect

KIERAN MULLEN – 3 star – No. 53 center

Mullen is unranked nationally by 247, but he is the No. 53 center overall in their rankings. He is a 7-foot center out of St. Thomas More in Connecticut.

According to 247 Sports, Pitt has the No. 13 ranked high-school recruiting class in the ACC out of the league’s 18 teams. Behind Pitt, Cal, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, Louisville, and Florida State are ranked. According to 247’s transfer class rankings, Pitt is ranked 12th in the ACC.

The Panthers have brought in four transfers so far this offseason: Dishon Jackson, Nojus Indrusaitis, Damarco Minor, and Barry Dunning Jr.
