Florida Cornerback Announces Visit to Pitt

The Pitt Panthers have a pretty solid track record of landing defensive backs from Florida and today a talented junior from the Sunshine State announced his plans to make a visit.

Kentrail McRae, a 6’2″, 170-pound 3-star cornerback from Clearwater High School revealed that he’s scheduled an official visit to Pitt from June 5th-7th.

The plans to visit Pittsburgh comes on the heels of McRae received an offer from Archie Collins on May 13th. Along with Pitt, McRae holds offers from Cincinnati, Louisville, Rutgers, Buffalo, Liberty, Iowa State, Michigan State, Wake Forest, East Carolina, South Florida, Florida Atlantic, Florida International and Central Michigan.

Per his recruiting profile page on Rivals.com, visit replaces an official visit that McRae had scheduled to South Florida. At this point in time, the becomes the first and only visit that McRae has scheduled.

According to PSN’s date, this becomes the 23rd official visitor that Pitt has scheduled for next weekend. Along with McRae, the only other cornerback that PSN has confirmed to be visiting next weekend is 3-star Xavier Jackson from Bergen Catholic in Oradell, New Jersey.

Pitt currently has five commitments for their Class of 2026- 3-star quarterback Angelo Renda (Southlake, Texas), 3-star safety Issac Patterson (Columbus, Ohio), 3-star wide receiver Dylan Wester (Sarasota, Florida), 3-star linebacker Marcus Jennings (Detroit, Michigan) and 3-star wide receiver Demetrice McCray (Orlando, Florida).
