To The Burgh is a Pittsburgh Sports Now series detailing each uncommitted 2026 prospect expected to be at Pitt for an official visit in June.

A pair of nearby 2026 WPIAL prospects will make the short trip to Pitt for official visits next weekend starting on June 5.

One of those will be Lincoln Hoke of North Allegheny, a 6-foot-2, 260-pound defensive tackle.

The three-star prospect saw his recruitment take off after the new year, picking up offers from Ivy League programs, several Group of Six schools, along with Pitt and West Virginia. He earned First Team Big 56 All-Conference honors and Second Team All-Pennsylvania recognition this past fall.

Pitt defensive line coach Tim Daoust starting showing interest before finally offering after an in-person visit on Feb. 8. Hoke then returned for a spring visit in March with his father, former Pittsburgh Steeler Chris Hoke.

“It felt different and a bit special,” Hoke said after the visit. “You’re there realizing that these coaches would like me to play for them and the decision I have to make is a serious one. I need to be there really looking at everything they have to offer and take everything into account. Being there today, I really did feel so much love from the Pitt coaches. The fact that they’re really pushing for me to go there is a special feeling and I feel really grateful for that.”

Stats: Hoke compiled 66 tackles (37 solo), nine tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, two blocked kicks and one interception as a junior. He also was an anchor on the offensive line as the Tigers rush for 171 yards per game.

Check out the Hudl highlights of Lincoln Hoke here.

Status: Hoke’s recruitment still remains particularly open as he holds an overall offer sheet of Pitt, West Virginia, Toledo, James Madison, New Mexico, Delaware, Buffalo, Akron, Kent State, Penn, Harvard, Princeton, Cornell and Sacramento State.

Along with Pitt, Hoke will take an additional official visit at West Virginia from June 13-15.

Nate’s Take: Hoke is highly interested in Pitt and for Daoust and co., they don’t have a whole lot of top targets at defensive tackle. Hoke would be a solid pick up for the Panthers with local ties and he is certainly leaning that way.

Hoke is a prospect that I firmly believe the Panthers could solidify during a nice extended look at the program.
