To The Burgh: Three-Star Official Visitor DB Xavier Jackson

To The Burgh is a Pittsburgh Sports Now series detailing each 2026 uncommitted prospect expected to be at Pitt for an official visit in June.
When Pitt brings its first group of official visitors on campus this coming weekend, there are several recruits that will be visiting Pitt for at least their third time.
Defensive back Xavier Jackson out of New Jersey falls in that category as he looks to get a further in-depth experience of the program and campus.
Jackson moved up his dates to the weekend of June 5-7 after originally scheduling for June 19-21.
Pitt offered Jackson back in November after attending the Pitt-Virginia game and then returned for a junior day visit in January.
Cornerbacks coach Archie Collins has spearheaded the recruitment of the 6-foot-2, 190-pound Bergen Catholic product.
“I talked to Coach Collins a lot,” Jackson told PSN back in January. “He keeps all his conversations real, and he even made me put my film on the board and evaluated it with me and the things I did wrong.”

Status: Jackson has yet to narrow down his recruitment as he holds offers from Pitt, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Wake Forest, Syracuse, West Virginia, Purdue, Temple, James Madison, Delaware, Army, Navy, Charlotte, UConn, Kent State and others.
Along with Pitt, Jackson has another official visit set for Michigan State from June 13-15. He recently took unofficial visits to Miami (FL), Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Nate’s Take: Jackson is a a recruit Pitt has had on its radar for a while now and the Panthers are certainly a top choice for him.
The feeling here is Jackson, who can line up at safety or corner, could be an addition later down the road depending on how the rest of the secondary shapes up in the 2026 class.
Pitt has one defensive back commit in three-star safety Isaac Patterson. As of now, Pitt has four other defensive backs scheduled to take an official visit. However, Davis Kinney, who was expected to visit during the second weekend of June, committed to Northwestern.
