Latest NBA Mock Draft Has Adou Thiero in First Round

Many people are trying to predict the upcoming NBA Draft as the combine has now wrapped up and teams are preparing to make these big decisions regarding their future.
On Monday, SB Nation revealed its latest NBA Mock Draft, and a familiar name was listed in the first round. The mock had Western PA native Adou Thiero going 20th overall to the Miami Heat in the First Round of the NBA Draft. Check out the full mock draft here. Just last week, Thiero decided to stay in the NBA Draft, opting for the pro route over another year at Arkansas.
Thiero recently performed at the NBA Combine. According to Givony, he measured in a 6-foot-6 1/4 barefoot, weighing 218.4 pounds. Thiero sports a 7-foot wingspan and an 8-foot-8 1/2 standing reach.
Thiero played for Arkansas and head coach John Calipari this past year after beginning his career with Calipari playing for the Kentucky Wildcats. Thiero averaged a career-high 15.1 points and 5.8 rebounds per game this past season for Arkansas in a breakout year. Thiero concluded his collegiate career with more than 600 points and 300+ rebounds. He is signed with agency Klutch Sports Group.
As a sophomore, he appeared in 25 games for the Wildcats. Thiero averaged 7.2 points and 4.96 rebounds per game on the year. Per Arkansas’ team notes, Thiero led the Kentucky team in rebounding in eight separate games and scored at least ten points five times. Thiero exploded for 16 points and 13 rebounds last season in an early-season contest against Kansas.
Following his sophomore season, Thiero entered the transfer portal, where he was recruited by programs all over the country, including his hometown team Pitt. During the process, Thiero took a visit to Pitt and included the Panthers in his top five list. He eventually chose Arkansas, and joined a loaded roster that included Johnell Davis (FAU transfer), Boogie Fland (five-star freshman), Jonas Aidoo (Tennessee transfer), DJ Wagner (Kentucky transfer), and more.
