Twitter Reaction to Former WVU Player Disrespecting Pitt Logo

Pitt / Beanie Bishop

Although the game is still four months away, the next edition of ‘The Backyard Brawl’ already has a storyline.

For whatever reason, former West Virginia and current Pittsburgh Steeler defensive back Beanie Bishop thought it was a good idea to go into the Pitt locker room at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex and wipe his spikes across the Pitt logo on the rug.

Bishop obviously meant for this stupid move to be seen because he instantly put it on Instagram. That was a good move for the rivalry and the media but pretty dumb for the 2025 West Virginia team.

As you would expect, Bishop wiping his cleats on Pitt has received plenty of reaction on X.
