Duquesne Basketball Scheduling News

Another game has been added to the Duquesne basketball schedule for this upcoming season.
According to a report by B.J. Rains, the Dukes will travel to Boise, Idaho to take on Boise State this season in a non-conference game. The Dukes and the Broncos did not face off against each other last season, but were both in the field for the Cayman Islands Classic early in the season.
Check out the report from Rains here.
Back in early May, scheduling expert Rocco Miller reported on some other Duquesne scheduling news.
According to Miller, Duquesne will compete in a four-team MTE along with Villanova, Queens, and Sacred Heart. Villanova will host all three of the other teams. In addition, Miller says that the Dukes will host both Queens and Sacred Heart as part of the event.
The event will take place in “early to mid-November,” per Miller.
Duquesne returns several players from last year’s squad, including Maximus Edwards, Jake DiMichele, David Dixon, and Cam Crawford. Duquesne has also brought in UT Martin transfer Tarence Guinyard, College of Charleston transfer Stef Van Bussel, Xavier transfer John Hugley, as well as former South Florida guard Jimmie Williams out of the transfer portal this spring.
With the addition of Hugley, the Dukes front court became crowded with Hugley, Eli Wilborn, David Dixon, Alex Williams, Chabi Barre and Jakub Necas. Barre also entered the portal, and eventually committed to Akron. Wilborn entered the portal, and eventually committed to James Madison.
