Pitt Picks up Second QB Commitment in 2026 Class

It became pretty clear not long after Pitt added its first 2026 quarterback commitment that the Panthers could very well add a second signal caller in the class.
On Saturday, Pitt did just that when it secured a commitment from three-star quarterback Corey Dailey out of Seguin High School in Texas.

Dailey selects Pitt over other offers from Tulane, San Diego State, Texas State, Fordham, Lamar, UTSA, Incarnate Word and UTGRV. He recently came off a visit last weekend at Texas State.
Pitt initially offered Dailey back in January and he then made a trip to Pittsburgh for an extended unofficial spring visit in March.
Kade Bell has not been shy about targeting some under-the-radar quarterback prospects out of the talent rich state of Texas as Dailey joins three-star Southlake Carroll (Texas) prospect Angelo Renda in Pitt’s quarterback room for the 2026 class. Renda became the first commitment in the 2026 class in January.
While Renda checks in on the smaller side at 6-foot and is a dual-threat option, Dailey brings some intriguing size, standing at 6-foot-6, 190 pounds.
247Sports rates Dailey as a three-star recruit, the No. 34 quarterback in the cycle and 91st player out of Texas. For comparison, Renda is ranked as the No. 87 quarterback in the class and 214th player in Texas.
Dailey put together some impressive numbers as a junior at Seguin with 2,529 passing yards, 35 passing touchdowns to go along with six rushing scores. Dailey has displayed his arm strength throughout the past couple of months at various camps and showcases.
