Pitt volleyball commit Izzy Masten

Dan Fisher and the Pitt volleyball team got even stronger for the upcoming 2025 season.

Pitt announced on Friday that incoming libero and defensive specialist Izzy Masten has reclassified and will be on the 2025 roster, joining middle blocker Abbey Emch and outside hitters Marina Pezelj and Dagmar Mourits.

Masten is a 5-foot-8 outside hitter/libero from Tri-West Hendricks in Lizton, Indiana.

Masten is an athletic, under-the-radar recruit, as Fisher and Kellen Petrone have shown the ability to identify top talent and develop it.

Masten was a 4-time First Team All-Conference and 2-time All-State performer and holds her school record for most career kills and aces. She also played for Rev Volleyball Academy and was named a 2-time AAU All-American and UA Next MVP.

Izzy also gives Pitt another strong defensive player along with Emery Dupes and sophomore Mallorie Meyer.
