Pitt Lands Commitment from Four-Star OL Day’Jon Moore

Even with a smaller group of prospects in town this week for the second weekend of Pitt official visits, the Panthers are capitalizing on that momentum and it has led to a commitment from another four-star recruit.
On Sunday, Pitt landed offensive lineman Day’Jon Moore out of Willis High School in Texas, he announced on Instagram.

Moore, who stands at 6-foot-4, 290 pounds, was already heavily interested in Pitt entering the weekend and an in-depth visit sealed the deal.
On3 and ESPN rate Moore as a four-star recruit with the former listing him as the N0. 9 interior offensive lineman in the class, 28th recruit of of Texas and 204th overall player in the class.
Moore picks Pitt over other offers from Ohio State, Nebraska, Maryland, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt, Baylor, Kansas, Arizona State, Tulane and others. He previously took an official visit at Maryland and is scheduled to take one at SMU during June 20-22.
Pitt initially offered Moore back in January and defensive coordinator and Texas area recruiter Randy Bates spent time with him on an in-person visit.
Moore was an anchor on the Willis offensive line as the Wildkats went 12-1 on the year. He earned First-Team All-District honors. Per his X account, he has put up 550 pound on the dead lift and 315 on the bench.
Moore becomes the fourth offensive lineman of the Pitt 2026 class to go along with Pine-Richland interior lineman John Curran III and offensive tackles Mike van der Oord and Nick Howard. He becomes the second Pat Signal of the weekend to be revealed, joining three-star Texas quarterback Corey Dailey.
