Pitt Busy Extending Offers to Big-Time Talent

Pitt was in the AP Poll for a short period of time this season. Since the Panthers' loss to Mississippi State, they have not made the list.

Sunday was a big day for high school athletes in the Class of 2027 as college coaches were permitted to officially reach out to them for the first time.

Pitt got things started off in a big way because extending an offer to 2027 5-star forward, Baba Oladotum, the No. 1 ranked prospect in the Class of 2027.

Capel and Pitt weren’t done their as at least two more offers went out.

The first went to Cayden Daughtry, an elite 5-star point guard from Calvary Christian Academy in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Currently, Rivals.com has Daughtry ranked as the No. 14 overall prospect in the Class of 2027.

Pitt wasn’t the only school to have immediate contact with Daughtry as he also received offers on Sunday from Miami, Texas A&M, BYU, Florida Atlantic, Virginia, Ohio State, Georgia, USC and Ole Miss.

The third offer from Pitt also went to a big-time prospect in 4-star point guard Tyler Sutton from Roman Catholic High School in Philadelphia.

The 6’2″ guard is ranked by Rivals.com as the No. 25 overall player in the Class of 2027.

At this stage of his recruitment, Sutton holds offers from Iowa, Miami, Mississippi State, Penn State, St. John’s, Villanova, Washington and West Virginia.
