Pitt Football Announces 19 June Roster Additions

Pitt football has updated its 2025 roster with the latest group of players who enrolled in June.

On Monday, the program announced the addition of 19 players, including 16 freshmen and nine total walk-ons.

That brings Pitt football’s 2025 roster total to 115.

Eight players in that group were members of the 2025 recruiting class with all but one signing back on early National Signing Day in December. Greater Latrobe safety John Wetzel was a late scholarship addition to the recruiting class in May after being released from his National Letter of Intent from Marshall.

Many of the walk-ons were previously announced outside of two newcomers. Marcus Serrano, a Philadelphia native, will join Pitt as a sixth-year defensive back from Division II Chowan University in Murfreesboro in North Carolina. In 2024, he compiled 38 tackles, two fumble recoveries and one interception.

Freshman linebacker Emory Fluhr will join the team as a walk-on freshman linebacker out of Lampeter-Strasburg High School. In 15 games as a senior, Fluhr compiled a team-high 173 tackles (106 solo) to go along with five tackles for loss, two sacks, one interception and one fumble recovery. He also added 22 receptions for 339 yards and four touchdowns on offense.
