WATCH: Reaction to PA Not Instituting a High School Shot Clock

Published

on

While 31 states across the country use a shot clock in high school basketball, Pennsylvania will continue to be one that does not.

The PIAA steering committee met on Tuesday and voted down a proposal that would’ve recommended adding a 35-second shot clock.

Could it be added in a future year? Sure but for now the PIAA isn’t ready to make the change. Possible reasons for the change could include cost, proper time to react, training for it, etc.

Hopewell Boys High School basketball coach has been coaching for 20+ years and gave us his thoughts on the topic and if he’s in favor of a shot clock.
