WPIAL 2028 OL Nick Anderson Earns First Power Four Offer

Following the completion of their freshman seasons, many of the 2028 WPIAL football players are out on the road during the spring months showcasing their talents at camps in front of college coaches.
Kiski Area offensive lineman Nick Anderson is one of those players and he is making the most out of his workouts.
This week, Anderson camped at Virginia Tech and following his performance, he walked away with a fresh offer from the Hokies, which comes as his first of the Power Four variety.
“I had a great camp,” Anderson told Pittsburgh Sports Now. “I felt like I had a great day doing drills and 1 on 1s. Coach Moore and Coach Pry had me and my family meet in his office and said that they were impressed with how I performed and told me to keep working hard.”

The 6-foot-4, 260-pound Anderson has also added offers from Sacramento State and Albany, but the Virginia Tech offer had a much deeper meaning.
“Getting an offer from Virginia Tech shows me that my hard work is paying off and that I have an opportunity to play at a Power Four level,” Anderson said.
Anderson says the recruiting process has been exciting, especially considering that he’s only entering his sophomore year. He has been busy on the camp circuit with stops at Pitt, West Virginia, Virginia and Davidson.
While his camp schedule is wrapped up, Anderson hopes he showed his work ethic all while looking to improved on his skills for the 2025 season.
“At the camp, I felt I showed a high level of competitiveness and the desire to get better,” he said. This offseason I will work on becoming stronger and improve on my footwork.”
Along with his play on the offensive line, Anderson was a two-way starter on the defensive line with 40 tackles, eight tackles for loss and two sacks.
