Duquesne Hires Former Florida Staff Member as Assistant Coach

Dru Joyce has announced the addition of a new member to his Duquesne Dukes basketball coaching staff.
Joyce has hired Jordan Talley, who has spent the last 4 seasons with the Florida Gators, most recently as their player development assistant. Talley was obviously a member of Florida’s impressive run to a college basketball national championship last season.
“We’re excited to add Jordan to our program,” said Joyce. “When you have the opportunity to spend some time with Coach Talley, you immediately know why he’s been so successful throughout his coaching journey. He operates with integrity and moves with purpose. The knowledge and infectious energy he provides will resonate with our players, staff, Duquesne University and the Pittsburgh community.”
“I’m extremely excited about the opportunity to join Coach Joyce’s staff,” said Talley. “My purpose is simple. To serve our student-athletes, coaches and this University at the highest level possible. I truly believe we have all the tools we need to achieve great success, and I’m committed to helping us reach our full potential.”
The native of Lake City Florida joined Florida after spending two seasons as a graduate assistant at James Madison, which included a 2021 Colonial Athletic Association regular season championship.
Prior to that, Talley was an assistant coach at Santa Fe College during the 2016-17 season. During that season, Santa Fe won the Panhandle Conference Championship and sent 10 players to division 1 including the No. 1 player in junior college.
Talley replaces Steve Wright to join the Missouri Tigers program after spending the last two seasons with Duquesne.
