Pitt Lands Commitment from Versatile Three-Star DL Logan Nagle

As Pitt closes out a successful month of June recruiting for the 2026 cycle, it was looking to add another impact defensive lineman to the class.
The Panthers did just that by landing a commitment from DePaul Catholic (New Jersey) high three-star prospect Logan Nagle on Wednesday, he told Pittsburgh Sports Now.
“A real big thing was the love that I received from Coach Narduzzi and Coach Daoust. It really showed me how important I was to them,” Nagle said.
Nagle, who stands at 6-foot-5, 270-pound, was also intrigued by a unique positional opportunity the Panthers presented to him.
“Another big thing was the positional flexibility that they’re giving me there being able to play d-end and defensive tackle,” Nagle said.
“They told me I’d be able to start at defensive end, but they really do see me developing into a defensive tackle,” he added. “Over time, getting a year or two in the college weight room then I will be built for defensive tackle. It’s just great to know that I have that flexibility to be able to play end, too, when I get there. That was one of the biggest things for me.”
Always appealing to defensive line recruits, the success Pitt has had with sending players like Aaron Donald, Calijah Kancey to the league was an important selling point as well.
“They’ve proven it over time that they’ve been able to produce defensive lineman year in and year out. It’s a big thing for me, the development aspect of things,” Nagle said.
Pitt hosted Nagle on an official visit from June 5-7. He selected the Panthers over other official visits with Indiana, Michigan State and Boston College, along with other notable offers from West Virginia, UCF, Rutgers, Syracuse, N.C. State and Wake Forest.

For Nagle, the official visit was his third time on campus after visiting for a junior day in January when he received his Pitt offer and then returned for a spring practice.
“It was great getting back there. It was my third time there. It was great being able to sit down with Coach Daoust and Coach Bates being able to learn more about the defense. Being able to go around the city seeing it more in depth and seeing how great of a city Pittsburgh is was great,” Nagle said.
Nagle feels his versatility is what will help him excel in the Pitt defense.
“I think I’m a very versatile defensive lineman,” he said. “I think I’m able to move pretty well with my size, so I think that gives me a lot of opportunities to be able to play defensive tackle and defensive end in Pitt’s scheme. Being able to use my legs and speed are some of the bigger things to my game.”
247Sports rates Nagle as a high three-star prospect, the 52nd defensive lineman in the class and No. 7 player out of the state of New Jersey.
As a junior at DePaul, Nagle recorded 62 tackles (27 solo), 11 sacks, two forced fumbles and a blocked punt.

Nagle is the third defensive lineman in Pitt’s 2026 class with four-star Peters Township prospect Reston Lehman and three-star North Allegheny product Lincoln Hoke.
