Pitt FB Recruiting
Which States have Produced the Most Recent Pitt Recruits

To say Pitt football is on a roll with their recruiting would be an understatement.
This afternoon, their record-breaking month of June continued with the commitment of 2026 3-star defensive end Logan Nagle from Wayne, New Jersey.
I used the term record-breaking and that’s because the Pitt Panthers have now received 16 commitments in the month of June (15 for the Class of 2026 and 1 for the Class of 2027).
These 16 commitments are the most in one month during the Narduzzi era, with the second highest coming with 11 in the Class of 2019. Pitt previously received 10 commitments 3 times (2025, 2023 and 2020).
In total, Pitt has received 21 commitments for their Class of 2026, which is now ranked in the Top Team Rankings by both Rivals and 247 Sports.
The interesting aspect of Pitt’s recruiting is seeing how the coaching staff is pulling players from a variety of states.
This year, Pitt’s 21 commitments have come from nine different states (Pennsylvania, Florida, New Jersey, Texas, Georgia, Maryland, Ohio, Virginia and Michigan).
The encouraging part is that this is a continuing trend as in both their Class of 2024 and 2025, Pitt received commitments from players in 10 different states.
With six months until National Signing Day, there’s obviously an opportunity for them to increase that number from nine.
Staying on the topic of Pitt’s recruiting in different states, in case you were wondering, here’s a look at where Pitt has pulled recruits from in their last 4 recruiting classes.
The complete list is Florida 23, Pennsylvania 17, Georgia 8, Ohio 8, Virginia 6, Texas 6, New Jersey 4, Maryland 4, California, 2, Louisiana 1, Massachusetts, Tennessee 1, Indiana 1 and Michigan 1.
