Former Pitt G Amsal Delalic to Miss Entirety of Upcoming Season

Amsal Delalic spent one year with the Pitt basketball program as a 21-year-old freshman and his time at Pitt did not go as planned with limited playing time and injury issues
Those injury problems have persisted with Delalic’s new team in the DePaul Blue Demons.
According to a press release from the DePaul basketball program, Delalic will miss the entirety of the 2025-26 season with an torn ACL. He suffered the injury during an open gym before the start of summer workouts, the press release detailed.

“We’re really disappointed for Amsal,” said DePaul head coach Chris Holtmann in the press release. “We look forward to him making a full recovery and remaining an important part of this year’s team and our programs future.”
Delalic, a 6-foot-8 wing, entered the portal from Pitt after playing in 21 games with two starts as he averaged 3.8 points and 2.0 rebounds per game. He shot 46.2 percent (30-of-65) from the field and 35.3 percent beyond the arc (12-of-34), while adding 15 assists and eight steals. He scored a season-high 14 points on 6-of-13 shooting against Miami.
Delalic’s career at Pitt was delayed at the beginning by a hand injury but once he returned, he averaged just 13.4 minutes per game and was largely limited to a small role off the bench.
The talented guard arrived at Pitt with high expectations after averaging 13.9 points and 4.6 rebounds in the top Bosnian professional league.
The Bosnia & Herzegovina native entered to portal on March 25 and joined DePaul in the Big East in April. He was expected to grow in his sophomore season of college basketball.
