The ACC football rivalry between Pitt and North Carolina just got a little more interesting.

Days after decommitting from his early pledge to Pitt, Virginia defensive end Trevion Stevenson has decided to now commit to Mack Brown and North Carolina. Originally, Stevenson committed to Old Dominion, followed by Pitt and now the Tar Heels.

Stevenson becomes North Carolina’s 18th commitment for their Class of 2021, which is currently ranked 8th by Rivals.

The talented pass-rusher is the 3rd defensive end to commit this year to North Carolina, joining 4-star recruit Jahvaree Ritzie (Kernersville, North Carolina) and 4-star recruit Keeshawn Silver (Rocky Mount, North Carolina).

This new destination for Stevenson comes as somewhat of a surprise as many believed that he would eventually join one of the two SEC programs that recently offered him, Georgia or Florida.

With the subtraction of Stevenson, Pat Narduzzi and his staff will be looking to add another defensive end to join West Mifflin 4-star recruit Nahki Johnson. Two players to keep an eye on are New Jersey 4-star DE George Rooks and Pennsylvania 3-star DE Robert Jackson.
