Twitter Reaction To Pitt Safety Paris Ford Opting Out Of The Season

Pitt’s end of the season won’t get any easier as they lose on their top defensive starts.
Pittsburgh Sports Now first reported that star safety Paris Ford has opted out of the remainder of the season and will start his preparation for the 2021 NFL Draft. Ford becomes the second Panther this season to choose to do this, as star DT Jaylen Twyman announced his intentions prior to the 2020 season.
The loss of Ford is a huge blow to Pitt’s defense as he’s been the quarterback and leading playmaker in the secondary.
This news has got plenty of Pitt fans voicing their opinion on Twitter.
If Narduzzi can quit on his team like he did against ND then am not going to get upset when players do https://t.co/urR1ONRvTB

Wow. That’s a huge loss for Pitt. In general I don’t like guys leaving in the middle of the season but I don’t know what’s right or wrong in 2020 pandemic football. So you just say “good luck young man” and hope he is making the right move https://t.co/SCuwxqE9Qh

Thank you @DiddyBop12_ and good luck at the next level. #H2P

Can we come up with a term different than opting out? I mean let's call this what it is, "Paris Ford has put enough on tape, Pitt isn't going anywhere, and he wants to be healthy for the draft so he isn't playing football until someone pays him to do so." https://t.co/vUG2DMNGYe

Good for him! Have always been a Paris Ford fan. Wouldve liked to see him fully effective on a good team

Smart move by Diddy !!!
Every minute of every day should be devoted towards working to have a BIG combine and keeping himself healthy and in shape. Being healthy and testing good in the 40 yard dash and lifting test is worth millions to this kid. The PITT season is useless 🤷🏼♂️

Good for him 👏🏻👏🏻 gonna see yet another Pitt alum become an NFL stud and the program with nothing to show for it because of coaching incompetence. Embarrassing https://t.co/DVzUBS2MYx

Not surprised, disappointed but understand him not risking injury or Covid and hurting his draft status on the disaster that Pitt Football has become this year.
