Bishop Canevin TE Commits to Air Force

June continues to be an active month for commitments across the country in college football and another one can be added out of the WPIAL.
Bishop Canevin tight end Henry Barbisch made a verbal pledge on Sunday to join the Air Force Academy.
“Thank you to every coach who recruited me in this long process. So many great programs and people I’ve met in this journey. Also want to thank my family and HS coaches for pushing me and making me the young man I am today,” Barbisch wrote in a post on X (formerly known as Twitter).

The 6-foot-4, 230-pound tight end held 20 offers, primarily from the Division I FCS level and the Mid-American Conference in the FBS. He chose Air Force over the likes of Marshall, Kent State, Toledo, Miami (OH), Marshall, Akron, Bowling Green, Penn, Yale, Monmouth, Bryant, Robert Morris and others.
Barbisch received an offer from Air Force back on April 15 and took an unofficial visit to the academy on June 21.
The Air Force visit came two weeks after Barbisch took an official visit to Bowling Green from June 7-9.
Barbisch’s recruitment caught fire following a successful junior season, especially on the defensive line, where he recorded 47 tackles, 16 tackles for loss and nine sacks during the regular season.
