“Starting this month, all contributions to Alliance 412 will be matched up to $500,000,” Pitt athletics announced in a press release weeks ago.
Now, as August nears, we have an update from the collective on the progress of the challenge. So far, Panther fans have raised over $250,000 as part of the challenge, according to this post by Alliance 412.
Eligible contributions include memberships to Alliance 412, as well as one-time payments and ticket purchases for the upcoming “A Night with Panthers” event.
“We are incredibly excited to join our teammates at Alliance 412 in encouraging Panther fans to be a part of this $500,000 challenge gift campaign,” A.D. Heather Lyke said in a release. “We are committed to our partnership and working together with Alliance 412 to provide our student-athletes with an extraordinary experience academically, athletically, and personally. Together we are helping our student-athletes compete and achieve at the highest levels.”
Pitt’s “A Night with Panthers” event is scheduled for Aug. 3 at the Petersen Events Center.
“Guests will have the opportunity to engage with Pitt head coaches, current student-athletes, and legendary Panthers in an intimate setting. Proceeds from “A Night with Panthers” will benefit Pitt athletes through their alignment with Alliance 412. Attire for the event is Pitt casual.”
Tickets for “A Night with Panthers” can be purchased here. Tickets range from $250 (general admission) to $10,000 (Gold VIP Table).
Alliance 412 has six different membership tiers, starting at $10 per month.
