Former Pitt LB Bangally Kamara Trending Toward Another ACC Team

Former Pitt linebacker Bangally Kamara isn’t wasting any time trying to choose his next football destination.
Following a short stay with the South Carolina Gamecocks, in which he played in only four games, Kamara could be heading back to the ACC.
According to Rivals.com, Kamara has received an offer from SMU and “a visit is in the works.” Rivals Portal is also saying that SMU is trending for Kamara.
Chris Hummer, the national college football and transfer portal writer for 247Sports, previously reported that SMU, Cal, Michigan State, Syracuse and Toledo were schools that reached out to Kamara following his exit from South Carolina.

Because he played in just four games, the Ohio native is eligible to redshirt and play a sixth year with another team. In four games, Kamara registered just nine tackles and played in 70 snaps.
Kamara was one of a handful of Pitt defenders that elected to transfer and thus far, none are having much impact with their new teams.
During his time at Pitt, Kamara played in a total of 48 games and registered 120 tackles, five sacks and 11.5 tackles for loss.
The transfer portal will officially open on Dec. 9 and will close on Jan. 7, 2025.
