Pitt’s Bub Carrington Listed in Yahoo Sports NBA Mock Draft

Pitt’s Carlton “Bub” Carrington has received lots of national attention this year for his early-season strong performances for the Panthers.

Carrington, the Panthers’ 6-foot-5 starting point guard, is averaging 14 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 5.7 assists per game while shooting 42% from the field and 34% from three-point range. Carrington, a Baltimore native, came to Pitt as a top-100 prospect just last year, and has quickly burst onto the scene while in Pittsburgh.

Carrington opened his collegiate career with an incredible 18-point, 12-rebound, and 10-assist triple double in a win over North Carolina A&T. That performance was the fifth triple double by a Panther in the program’s history. Since that win, Carrington has scored at least 15 points in five other games and has dished out at least five assists in six games. In his first true road game of his career, Carrington went 6 for 13 from the field and 3 for 8 from three for a 16-point, 9-assist stat line in a lopsided win over West Virginia in Morgantown.

Recently, Carrington was included in Krysten Peek’s “NBA Mock Draft 3.0” for Yahoo Sports. Carrington was listed as her projected No. 25 overall pick to the New York Knicks.
