Lincoln Park 5 star prospect Meleek Thomas was in attendance at the Pitt-Jacksonville basketball game on Friday, November 17.

Meleek Thomas’ recruitment has been fascinating.

The Lincoln Park rising senior guard has dominated WPIAL play throughout his career and is going through a recruitment process loaded with blue-blood schools and big-name coaches in the mix. Now, he is still in the process of visiting top programs across the country, and according to several reports, he has two more on the schedule officially and one more in the works.

According to 247 Sports reporter Dushawn London, Thomas has scheduled an official visit to two-time defending national champions UConn from June 19-21, as well as a trip to Arkansas from June 25-27. Thomas has been a priority target for new Arkansas head coach John Calipari for years, beginning when Calipari, the Western Pennsylvania native, coached Kentucky. Now with the Razorbacks, he is clearly still prioritizing Thomas.

In addition, Peegs.com’s Jeff Rabjohns reported that Thomas will visit Indiana as well. Weeks ago, Illinois’ Rivals.com site reported that Thomas plans to take an official visit to Illinois, as well.

Thomas released a top-12 schools list back in September 2023 that included the following programs: Duke, Kentucky, Indiana, Kansas, Kansas State, Miami, Villanova, Pitt, Tennessee, UConn, Michigan, and Auburn. Since that list was released, he has taken visits to Pitt, Auburn, and Kentucky, and now has more visits on the agenda.

Earlier this year, Thomas partnered with Roc Nation Sports, founded by Jay-Z, for his NIL representation. Thomas won back-to-back WPIAL and PIAA titles this season as a junior, averaging 22.7 points and 10.2 rebounds per game. He has been a significant Pitt target since his early high-school career, and has been to numerous games over the past few seasons alongside former high-school teammate and current Panther guard Brandin Cummings.

Pitt has offered several other guards in the class of 2025 as of late, including Acaden Lewis and Isaiah Denis.
