Pitt Hoops Staff Reaches Out to 10+ 2026 Recruits as Contact Period Opens
Pitt’s basketball staff was hard at work this weekend, making calls to 2026 prospects for the first time.
On Saturday, June 15 at midnight, college basketball staffs were finally able to contact recruits in the 2026 class, and Pitt, like many staffs around the country, took advantage of the contact period right from the start.
The Panthers’ staff contacted the following recruits, and more.
CHRISTIAN COLLINS
Collins is a 6-foot-8 forward out of St. Bernard HS in Playa Del Rey, California.
CHASE FOSTER
Foster is a 6-foot-8 forward out of Baltimore. He plays his high-school ball for Edmondson-Westside.
SEBASTIAN WILKINS
Wilkins is a 6-foot-7 forward out of basketball powerhouse Brewster Academy in New Hampshire.
JAYDEN HODGE
Hodge is a 6’6 guard out of St. Rose in Belmar, New Jersey.
CHIDI NWIGWE
Nwigwe is a 6-foot-7 wing out of St. Benedict’s in Newark, New Jersey.
BEN AHMED
Ahmed is a 6-foot-10 center from Putnam Science Academy in Connecticut, the same prep program that current Panther Amdy Ndiaye played for a year ago.
JORDAN SMITH JR.
Smith is a 6-foot-3 guard out of Paul VI Catholic in Fairfax, New Jersey.
MARKUS KERR
Kerr is a 6-foot-4 guard out of Julius L. Chambers in North Carolina. He is not the only prospect on this list from JL Chambers — so keep an eye out for a teammate of his further down the line.
QAYDEN SAMUELS
Samuels is a 6-foot-5 guard who plays his high-school ball for Bishop McNamara (MD).
KATRELLE HARMON
Harmon is a 6-foot-4 guard out of Renton, Washington. He plays for BFL Prep and is ranked as a four-star prospect by 247 Sports. Harmon is the No. 52 player in the class of 2026, per 247.
PARKER ROBINSON
Another DMV native is on the board. Robinson is a 6-foot-4 guard out of Our Lady of Good Counsel in Maryland.
Bouie also plays for J.L. Chambers High School in North Carolina. He heard from Pitt assistant Jason Capel early Saturday, just after midnight. Bouie is a 6-foot-4 guard.
