4-Star Pitt Commit Ryan Baer Highest Rated OL of Narduzzi Era

The commitment on Thursday from Ohio offensive tackle Ryan Baer was a big one for the Pitt Panther program in many ways.
Figuratively, it was a big because Baer is a 6-foot-8, 330-pound player. It was also large because Baer is a Rivals 4-star recruit with offers from programs like Baylor, Cincinnati, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa State, Kentucky, Michigan State, Minnesota, Notre Dame, Purdue, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.
The final example to show how big this get was is by saying that Baer is the highest rated offensive lineman commitment of the Pat Narduzzi era.
Getting 4-star recruits isn’t uncommon for this Pitt staff but getting 4-star offensive lineman hasn’t happened much. In fact, Baer becomes the first Rivals 4-star offensive lineman that’s committed to Pitt since Alex Bookser back in the Class of 2014.
The news today also continues the trend over the last couple of classes of impressive recruiting wins for talented offensive lineman.
