For the second-straight year, Pitt’s staff has contacted Mike Sharavjamts.
The former Dayton Flyer played this past season for San Francisco in the WCC. “Mongolian Mike” entered the portal on Wednesday for the second-straight season. This year for the Dons, he shot 36% from three-point range and averaged 7.7 points per contest. Sharavjamts also grabbed three rebounds on average and dished out 2.7 assists per game. He had 12 games of at least ten points as a sophomore, including an 18-point effort in a win over Seattle in which he went 6 for 12 from the field.
ESPN’s Jeff Borzello initially reported that Pitt reached out to Sharavjamts. Borzello also included that Sharavjamts has heard from UCLA, California, BYU, UCSB, Loyola Marymount and others.
Pitt is trying to build a roster around returning players Jaland Lowe, Ishmael Leggett, Zack Austin, and Guillermo Diaz-Graham, among others. The Panthers have reached out to several transfers thus far, including Mikeal Brown-Jones out of UNC Greensboro, Cam Corhen out of Florida State, Adou Thiero out of Kentucky, and others.
