Pitt Makes Top Six of Mount Saint Mary’s Transfer Guard

The Panthers are in the mix for another transfer prospect.

On Thursday, On3’s Joe Tipton announced that Mount Saint Mary’s transfer guard Dakota Lefffew included Pitt in his top six schools list along with Villanova, Syracuse, South Carolina, Georgia, and Xavier.

Leffew is a 6-foot-5 guard who played four seasons at Mount Saint Mary’s before entering the portal this spring. This past season, the Hampton, Georgia native averaged 17.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game while shooting 43% from the field and 37% from three. He made at least 73 threes in each of his last two seasons, and this year, went 74 for 203 from downtown.

Against high-major opponents this year, Leffew had the following stat lines:

@ Maryland: 8 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 turnovers

@ Georgetown: 14 points, 0-6 3FG, 1 rebound, 2 assists, 3 turnovers

@ Ole Miss: 16 points, 8-21 FG, 0-7 3FG, 4 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 turnovers

@ Georgia: 26 points, 10-18 FG, 2-6 3FG, 3 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 turnovers

Pitt is currently in the top three for UNC Greensboro transfer Mikeal Brown-Jones, and will host Florida State transfer Cam Corhen on a visit this month as well.
