Thursday Pitt Football Notebook

Today is ACC Football media day in Charlotte, North Carolina.  Pat Narduzzi and senior Ejuan Price and Nate Peterman will be at the event to represent Pitt.  We hope to provide video interviews from them later today.

Prior to the event, the coaching staff released a preseason depth chart (which really doesn’t mean much because freshman aren’t factored in) and here’s what it looks like as we’re 2 weeks away from the start of camp.

Starting Offense-

WR/TE: Dontez Ford, Quadree Henderson, Jester Weah, Scott Orndorff

OL: Adam Bisnowaty, Dorian Johnson, Alex Officer, Alex Bookser, Brian O’Neil or Jaryd Jones-Smith

QB/RB: Nate Peterman, Quadree Ollison, George Aston

Starting Defense-

DL: Rori Blair, Tyrique Jarrett, Shakir Soto, Ejuan Price

LB: Mike Caprara, Matt Galambos, Elijah Zeise or Oluwaseun Idowu

Secondary: Avonte Maddox, Ryan Lewis or Phillipie Motley, Jordan Whitehead, Terrish Webb or Reggie Mitchell

UPDATE (11:50 AM)-
** Fairfield (Ohio) cornerback Josiah Scott announced today that he will make his college decision on Sunday, July 31st at Fairfield Stadium at 5 PM. He will pick between Pitt, Michigan State, West Virginia and Iowa.

UPDATE (3:40 PM)-
**PSN has learned that former Pitt quarterback Adam Bertke will be enrolling at the University of Findlay. Bertke got caught in a numbers game at quarterback at Pitt and with Nate Peterman, Bo Schneider, Thomas MacVittie, Ben DiNucci on the roster, he wasn’t going to get any playing time.
