His statistics, Pitt’s 10-win season and the good old-fashioned eye test strongly suggest that Kenny Pickett is worthy of Heisman Trophy consideration.

The Heisman committee agrees.

Today, it was made official that Pickett is officially on the 2021 Heisman Trophy ballot and fan vote for this year’s award will help select the four finalists and winner.

You can help Pickett get the invitation to New York by voting at http://www.nissanheismanhouse.com.

Other names on the ballot include Alabama quarterback Bryce Young, Michigan State running back Kenneth Walker III, Georgia defensive lineman Jordan Davis, Ole Miss quarterback Matt Corral, Alabama linebacker Will Anderson Jr., Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud, Ohio State running back Treveyon Henderson, Wake Forest quarterback Sam Hartman, Cincinnati quarterback Desmond Ridder, Oklahoma quarterback Caleb Williams, Georgia quarterback JT Daniels, North Carolina quarterback Sam Howell, Michigan running back Blake Corum and Alabama running back Brian Robinson.

Heisman ballots have been sent out and voters have until next Monday, December 6 at 5 PM to cast their ballot electronically. The Heisman winner will be announced on December 11.

Pickett finished the 2021 regular season by passing for 4,066 yards, 40 touchdowns, 7 interceptions and broke nearly every Pitt passing record.

Because of this productivity and development, Pickett is rated the top quarterback in the 2022 NFL Draft by ESPN’s Mel Kiper and Todd McShay.
