PITTSBURGH — If you’re going to the Petersen Events Center, you’ll notice a lot of construction along Allequippa Street.

Pitt Director of Athletics Heather Lyke said that by the fall of 2025, the $240 million Victory Heights construction will have been completed and provide a new, state-of-the-art facility for Pitt athletics.

The Victory Heights complex, which will provide for 14 of 17 of Pitt’s athletic teams and feature a brand-new volleyball, wrestling and gymnastics arena, is a way to provide an even greater experience for Pitt student-athletes and bring more credibility to Pitt athletics as a whole.

Lyke spoke to the media Thursday morning to update the progress made and showcase renderings of what the finished product will look like.

Below are the renderings of different areas of the multi-level Victory Heights complex, which connect the upper and lower Oakland campus and be directly connected to the Petersen Events Center.
