Pitt Seeking Nominations for 2025 Athletics Hall of Fame Class

Pitt is looking for help from the fans to fill out the 2025 Pitt Athletics Hall of Fame class.
The University of Pittsburgh is taking nominations here, through Feb. 14, for the class. There are a few requirements for nominees, though. The student-athlete must be five years removed from the final year of college competition and not currently playing professional sports.
The 2025 class will be inducted at the Pitt Athletics Hall of Fame dinner this fall (with a date yet to be announced).
Former Pitt Director of Athletics Heather Lyke announced the creation of the Hall of Fame in 2018, giving Pitt the chance to honor its notable student-athletes, coaches and athletic department members in a new way.
“Over the past year, I’ve learned so much about the rich athletics history at the University of Pittsburgh,” Lyke said in 2018. “It’s a history that is impressive, inspiring and in need of a fitting showcase. That’s our inspiration for creating the Pitt Athletics Hall of Fame: to celebrate and pay tribute to those individuals who set the standards of excellence while wearing the Blue and Gold.”
The class of 2025 will certainly include some names that have waited a while for enshrinement and deserve the recognition at a university level.
