Pitt football on the PGHSN PULSE

Welcome to the PGHSN PULSE, providing weekly insight into Pitt football, recruiting and high school football in Western Pa.

The most recent edition of the PGHSN PULSE talks the latest from Pitt spring practice No. 5, including comments from head coach Pat Narduzzi and preparation for the upcoming scrimmage at Acrisure Stadium on Saturday.

Also, it’s the next positional group breakdown with observations from the defensive backs. In terms of newsworthy information, cornerback Rashad Battle is most likely going to spring spring camp as he is working back from an injury after missing the 2024 finals against Toledo.

At corner, Tamon Lynum, Rashan Murray, Shadarian Harrison, Nigel Maynard and Shawn Lee Jr. are some of the names that were putting in reps at practice on Tuesday.

Cruce Brookins looks to replace Donovan McMillon as the starter at the boundary safety position, alongside Javon McIntyre. UC Davis transfer Kavir Bains-Marquez, Jesse Anderson and Josh Guerrier are all pushing for a spot on the two-deep.
