Max Browne’s career with the Pitt football team over.
Head coach Pat Narduzzi announced today that Browne underwent surgery on his shoulder that will sideline him for the rest of the season.
Browne injured the shoulder in the second half of Saturday’s game at Syracuse.
The grad transfer arrived at Pitt was hoping to have one season to attempt to live up to all the hype and expectation that surrounded him when he originally committed to USC as a 5-star recruit out of high school.
Browne finished the season 96 of 135 for 997 yards with 5 touchdowns and 2 interceptions.
Browne was a very polite and well spoken player for Pitt and we wish him the best of luck in the future.
This news means that Ben DiNucci and Kenny Pickett will Be Pitt’s quarterbacks the rest of the season. DiNucci will be the starter for now but since Pickett’s redshirt is burned, look for Narduzzi to get him playing time.
