Is Pine Wavering On Pitt?

There’s been talk on multiple sites about Pitt recruit Chase Pine and whether he’s really committed to the Panthers.

Pine has already gone on another official visit after committing to Pitt. Now, there’s a report that Pine plans to make an official visit to Maryland on January 22nd and Virginia Tech after that.

I contacted Pine to get his response to all of this. First I asked him why he took an official visit (Iowa State) if he’s committed to Pitt.

“I only went on one because my teammate wanted someone to go with him”, said Pine.

Then I asked him about whether he plans to go to Maryland and Virginia Tech?

“No sir, not now”, said Pine.

“I’m 100% committed to Pitt and I just wanted to have something to look back on as an experience.”

Guess we’ll find out what Pine ends up doing.  I tend to think he will.
