In the last month, Pitt has offered scholarships to four junior quarterbacks and now one of those players plans on making a visit to check them out.

Saint Xavier (Ohio) quarterback Chase Wolf, who was the first of these recent quarterbacks to be offered by offensive coordinator Shawn Watson, tells Pittsburgh Sports Now that he’ll be in town next weekend.

Wolf will be here as the team opens up spring practice next weekend.

“I want to visit because I want to meet the staff and see the facilities and also to get around the players to see the culture. I wanna see the guys and coaches in their everyday environment. I’ve only heard good things about Pitt so I think it’s a great idea to check it out,” said Wolf.

“I’m in contact with a lot of the coaches there. I get texts every week from Coach Watson and Coach Narduzzi along with other coaches just to check in. They send me a lot of pictures of the facilities and stuff like that.”

A month ago, the only uncommitted quarterback with a Pitt offer was Kevin Doyle. Since then, Wolf, Devin Leary, Carter Bradley and Joe Milton have received one and that’s something that caught Wolf’s eye.

“I’ve noticed the other offers going around but that doesn’t really concern me a whole lot. This does give me the sense that they probably want a commitment soon from somebody. I’m still going to go through the process to find the right fit and if Pitt is it, then I’ll make sure I commit as soon as I can,” said Wolf.
